This class is a complete body workout.  It concentrates on the use of core stability to develop good posture and internal muscular strength.  The use of martial arts movements is what makes the difference.  The "boxing" movements will give you an abdominal workout like no other.  High repetition movements elevate your heart rate to encourage the development of a more efficient cardiovascular system, burn calories and increase the muscle tone to your arms, buttocks, legs--everywhere.  Yoga movements and stretching are also incorporated into this workout.

    One full hour focusing on core abdominal muscles while using and strengthening back muscles.  Workout is done primarily on mats to soothing music.  This is a wonderful stress reliever, however can be challenging.  Workout can include bands, resistance balls and weights to intensify movements.

    This class is designed for students who want a higher intensity level of  cardiovascular and muscular strength conditioning than Silver Sneakers for increased agility, balance and coordination.  You will get moving to the beat using floor movements and light weights to help tone and shape your muscles.  Class design will focus on the major muscle groups with proper form, technique, and applying appropriate resistance levels to achieve your own individual goals.
  • STRONG by Zumba

    This class combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. In a one-hour class you will burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba® instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max

    This class will always include the use of 1 step or 2 separate steps for a portion of the hour or for the entire hour.  It’s a surprise.  The class can also include multiple types of aerobic activity.  Example:  Hi-Lo, Cardio Box, Sculpting, etc.  We will keep your heart and mind pumping throughout this workout.

    This partial class focuses on understanding and controlling the body, the breath, and the mind through exercises, breathing techniques and meditation training.  The techniques are designed to increase strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, coordination, and the ability to relax.  They are also designed to release stress and muscle tension and to enhance the ability to concentrate.

    The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class! Achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

    This is a 30-45 minute class of low/high impact conditioning.  Muscle conditioning exercises which increase your muscular endurance and strength plus heart rate raising exercises designed to strengthen the circulatory system and increase heart health.  Abdominals, upper and low body strengthening is included in this workout.

    This class is customized to accommodate all participants by individualizing the workout with resistance tools and a variety of support options.  It offers exercises for the upper and lower body designed to increase strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.  A chair is provided for seated and/or standing support.


    This class will include training to improve your agility, balance and stabilization.  It will contain a mixture of cardio exercises including some Step, Kickboxing, Interval and strength training.  It will also target your core muscles improving your core strength and flexibility. . It will test your strength and stamina. A variety of equipment may be used including weights, medicine balls, step, BOSU, and resistance balls.

    This is a 45 minute entry level class.  Our easiest step class, designed to provide a high level of instruction on basic step moves and demonstrate proper form for a heart pumping cardio workout.   It will also improve stability and toning by incorporating strength and resistance moves using weights.

    This class will incorporate exercise to improve agility, balance and stabilization by using cardio aerobic exercises including the use of Plyometrics used to gain power, speed and strength.  This class is a full hour of step and/or floor exercises including: but not limited to: Plyometrics, Body Sculpting, Abdominals, Resistance Balls, BOSU, Bootcamp and Cardio Kickboxing.  It includes multiple types of aerobic activities.

    This class will combine dance, exercise and fun.  Beginner and intermediate line dances will be taught resulting in a solid hour of movement.  Students can perform the steps in a low impact fashion, or kick it up for a calorie burning workout.  The dances utilized in this class are those which the students may encounter when at public line dancing events, and introduction to the basic steps in the class will assist students in other aerobic classes such as Zumba and Step.
